Join our Thriving Junior Section

Chesterfield Cricket Club has an enthusiastic and successful junior section. Children can join us from the age of six and will learn how to play the game under the guidance of club coach Alan Morris and our other ECB-qualified coaches.

There are seven teams ranging from U10 Kwik cricket for those new to the game right through to U17s.

To be selected for one of our teams requires talent, enthusiasm and a lot of hard work but the club coaches are there to help anyone who is keen to learn.

Twelve of our players have been selected to represent Derbyshire in 2008 and eight others will be playing for North Derbyshire. To help these most-able youngsters realise their full potential, the club runs an Elite Development Group which provides specialist coaching in small groups and one-to-one mentoring.

Our junior co-ordinator is Simon Mounsey (simon.mounsey@chesterfieldcricket.co.uk). If your child is interested in learning to play or developing their existing cricketing skills, please contact him. We are always looking for new players and they and their parents will be made welcome at the club.
